10 poets slammed including Amalia Ortiz (soon to be featured
on on HBO's "Def Poets") and Shaggy (both members of the
fameous San Antonio Puro Slam team ranked #2 in the nation
two years ago). Both got lots of Corpus Christi love .There
were about 60-70 people in the audience. Jason DeBois was an
MC. Tito sacrificed himself for the sake of theslam. Jeff
and Mark slammed first time. Congratulations to all
poets! Here are the official results:

3 poets read their lines at the open mic and 5 poets slammed
-- each was able to read 3 poems. There were about 30 people
